Calendar Issues Update

My dear friends, followers, clients and fans. As you know I've been working with Harbour Con-Fusion over the last few months to develop a cosplay calendar for 2013, to help raise funds for the convention that same year. I regret to inform everyone involved or interested that said calendar will not be ready before the end of the year. We have had some major setbacks concerning the last few shoots for very legitimate reasons and have also run into a temporary road block on the final design and printing of the units this year. However, all is not for ill, I will be continuing to finish shooting throughout December and into January and we will have a final product ready for order in late January too early February at the price of 20 dollars. The calendar will be relabelled for 2014 and hold it's original content as photographed this year. This will give us much needed breathing room for final design and sales of the units. Thank you everyone for your support and I hope you will stuff find interest in this project and help support the charities Harbour Con-Fusion donates to. Look for an update on the images once shooting is done and for some interesting news for the new year.

Calendar Progress

Hello friends and followers, as I announced roughly two months ago I have been working on a cosplay calendar as a promotional fund raising item for Harbour Con-Fusion 2013. I am happy to announce that pre-orders will begin soon for this exclusive item.

All proceeds from the sales will go to Harbour Con-Fusion to support the cost of the 2013 convention, the convention in turn donates it's proceed

s to the Saint John SPCA. This is a great cause which I fully support and more then happy to have an active hand in. I would like to address the amazing cosplay artists from across the province that have shared their kindness, skill and time as well as braving the elements in some cases. They also deserve you support as craftspeople and fans of our incredible hobby. I have greatly enjoyed working with these incredible people over the last few months.

I have a few shoots left to finish and then printing will begin. My hope is that this item stands as a testament too the strength of our "geek" culture here in New Brunswick, and my greater hope that you all rush to purchase and support our culture and good willed nature. Thank you everyone, I look forward to doing more of this work in the future.

A Call for Models

Hello friends! I am happy to announce I am working on a cosplay pinup calendar for 2013. The calendar will be sold to support the non-profit Harbour Con-fusion Inc. which is raising money for the 2013 convention in Saint John, New Brunswick. Harbour Con-Fusion in turn donates profits from the convention to the Saint John SPCA, so this fundraiser is deeply important to me. I am looking for 18 year old plus models for at least 5 different months right now. Though this is a pinup style calendar the images will be completely tasteful and will include zero nudity. You do not need your own cosplay in most cases as some of the other models have multiple wardrobes which we can utilize. I am hoping to have a schedule booked by mid October and complete shooting by the 3/4 mark in November. Anyone interested within the Maritimes or who will be visiting the Maritimes that wishes to participate please contact me at larrymholder@gmail.com . Thank you friends and I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Fredericton Zombie Walk 2012

I got a little bit behind in my posts, so here, finally is the Fredericton Zombie Walk 2012. The zombie walk is an awesome event, this was the first year I was able to go and very much enjoyed it. It raises money and collects donations for the local Food Bank, a great cause. These events are very popular ever where, in fact I'll be doing another in Saint John in a few weeks. So on to the pics.

First I'll start with this pan, I've been doing these a lot lately. Photoshop has a great stitching software built in, though sometimes in these people can get cut out if they're in a strange spot in the images. None the less I think it does a wonderful job. I hope to continue doing these or most events.

I also got to test out my new wide angle filter which I am using on my old film 28 to 80mm lens. At 28mm it makes an awesome effect despite the lack of sharpness. I prefer the the black and white version as I love the look of old black and white horror movies.

Well that's all I really have to talk about the process. I'll be posting the image archive next and then a special message released on my other blog, but I feel the need to post it here too.

Harbour Con-fusion - Image Catalog

Same format as the others, only I won't be including all the panel and event shots here (for those go here http://pollmh.blogspot.ca/2012/08/harbour-con-fusion-2012-complete-image.html ), just the cosplay centred ones. After all that's what this blog is about.

And that is that wonderful time. Next up is a little explanation of the Zombie Walk photos I took here in Fredericton a few weeks back.
